32 Week Update

Everything was looking good at my 32 week checkup today. I gained 2 lbs since my last appointment so I am up 24 lbs now. Finley's heart rate sounded great and was in the 140's. I did measure 35 weeks, so 3 weeks ahead, which is pretty normal for me! :) We are counting down the weeks now, only 7 weeks left since I will probably be induced at 39 weeks!

Name and Maternity Family Pics

We have finally decided on a name for baby boy #2, Finley Graham Hudson.  We came up with Finley a while back but we tossed around a few middle names before deciding on Graham.

On August 2nd we decided to have our last photo session as a family of 3! The wonderful Brantley Freeman, of All Dressed Up Photography, took some family maternity pictures for us. If you are in the Columbia,SC area I highly recommend her she was so sweet and her pictures turned out great, check out her website.  She will be doing more photo's throughout Finley's first year!  I apologize in advance for the photo overload but I just had so many favorites, I could not narrow it down!

30 Week Update

I had my 30 week doctors appointment this week and they also did an ultrasound to check on Baby Boy's size.  He is is measuring almost 2 weeks ahead and weighs approximately 4 lb 1 oz, which is in the 70th percentile!  I am up 22 lbs so far, and was happy that I had only gained 1 lb since my last visit.  I also failed to mention that I passed my gestational diabetes screening at my last appointment, woo hoo!  I am now down to appointments every 2 weeks!  Not too much longer until we get to meet our sweet baby boy!

Brady's Big Boy Bed

We finally decided it was time to move Brady over to his own big boy bed, since his baby brother will be here in 9 weeks or less. Today is also his 2 1/2 year old birthday! I have known for a while that he was ready, but I was just not ready to give up his good sleeping behaviors in his crib or admit that he is no longer my baby. He has been such a good sleeper and has never tried to escape the crib, which has made me hesitant about moving him to his own bed.

Over the past couple of weekends we have painted his new room and today we put the bed rails on, along with his new bedding, and hung his curtains. We still have lots of other things to do before his room is complete, but we wanted to go ahead and start the transition into the bed in case it takes a while for him to adjust to.

So far he has been in his room for 30 minutes and I haven't heard him escape, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is a smooth transition for us all. I have to admit it is a little bittersweet to see my baby in a big bed! I will post some more pictures of the room once we get everything moved over and decorated.

3D Ultrasound

I am 29 weeks and I had my 3D ultrasound today. They didn't do any measurements this time since I go back for my regular appointment next week at 30 weeks. They will check his size and my fluids then, so we were able to just enjoy our ultrasound today. After seeing his sweet face, we cannot wait to meet this little guy in a few more months.

New Camry

We finally decided to trade in our 2002 Honda Civic. That was my first big purchase, I bought it when I was 19. I loved that car but 10 years and 2 kids later, a 2 door car didn't seem so practical for a family vehicle. For the past couple of years it has primarily been Joe's car to drive back and forth to work, and very rarely would we take Brady out in it, just because getting in and out of a car seat was such a pain. For the past few months we have been researching cars and totally fell in love with the Toyota Camry SE. We have really enjoyed our Rav 4 so we decided another Toyota it would be.

Well Hello 3rd Trimester: 28 Weeks Update

I am so glad to be in the final trimester. Even though it seems like the time is flying by, I am starting to get pretty miserable already. I am larger then I was with Brady. At my doctors appointment this week I was measuring 34 weeks, which is 7 weeks a head of where I am. They did an ultrasound to check on baby and he looks good, he weighs approximately 2lbs 7oz and is still around 60th percentile, which is slightly smaller then Brady was at this stage. I do have borderline high amniotic fluid, so they are going to do another ultrasound at 30 weeks to check the levels again and to see how much baby has grown. I have already gained 21 lbs, and hope that my weight gain will slow down a little. The past 2 months have not been very kind to me in the weight gain department. I also had my Glucola test, to check for Gestational Diabetes. I haven't heard back yet, so I am hoping that is good news!
