Christmas with the Galloway's

My parents came down to our house the week before Christmas and we exchanged gifts on December 20th. This was really the first time that Brady got into opening presents. He would open one and then say "more presents!"  This was something that would continue on through the rest of the holiday. Hopefully we can instill a little more gratefulness into him in the next few years, haha! He not only opened his presents but would open Finley's and help the rest of us. It was so fun to watch him he would open one in a box and get excited saying "it's a box!" He was really a lot more into Christmas this year noticing the trees, lights and of course presents!

Christmas Family Pics

I figured Christmas time was a good of time as ever to get our first family of 4 pictures. Finley was 10 weeks and Brady almost 3 (35 months). It is hard enough to get Brady to sit still for pictures but then you throw in a spitting up baby and you are in for loads of fun, haha! It actually wasn't too bad after we bribed Brady with M&M's. I must admit I have two handsome little boys, even if I am a little biased!

Preschool Christmas Party

Yesterday I got to visit Brady at preschool for their Christmas party. They got to enjoy some special treats and they also had some crafts they had made during the past few weeks, that they were ready to bring home. My favorite part was when his teacher asked the kids about the story of Christmas and hearing them respond. It was so sweet! I am so thankful that I am able to enjoy special things like this with my boys. I am so proud of Brady and all that he is learning in preschool. He looks forward to going every day. I also enjoy the big smile and hug that I get every day when I pick him up!

Day of Silence for Sandy Hook

I can't imagine going through what these families are dealing with right now. I pray that nothing like this ever happens again! The world that we live in is a very scary place and I can only hope that we as a nation can grow and move forward in a positive direction. Please pray for all those involved!

Visit with Santa

I took the boys to visit Santa last week at our local mall. We had not had very good luck with Brady and any costumed individuals, including Disney characters. I was hoping that since he is almost 3 that he would cooperate a little better this year. Everything was good until I tried to get him to sit on Santa's lap. That was a no go! Santa was very patient and kindly offered us this optional pose. I am sure next year Brady will do better and Finley will be the one not cooperating. Such is life with young children, you win some, you lose some! :)

Christmas Time at The Hudson's

We put our decorations up the weekend after Thanksgiving but I am just now getting around to blogging about it. Our tree is pretty much the same this year as it has been the past few years. Hopefully next year I can make a few changes and add some new details. With 2 little ones this year, I just didn't get around to it.

Our Sweet Boys

Since we only had 3 stockings I decided it was time to invest in some new ones plus our family is now complete at 4. I ordered these cute personalized ones from Personal Creations.

Meet Clark the Elf. We also introduced our Elf on the Shelf this year. We decided to name him Clark after Clark Griswald from our favorite holiday movie, Christmas Vacation. Brady isn't quite into it yet, but he does notice when Clark is in a new location. Clark is watching and reporting Brady and Finley's behavior back to Santa!

Finley -- 2 Months

This little guy is already 2 months old! He is my sweet snuggle buddy, who loves to be held all day long. He started smiling at 6 weeks but this week he is doing it more and more. He loves for you to talk to him, he will smile and coo and try to laugh at you. He is really grasping things well, usually my hair, shirt or necklace. Sometimes he will even grab a handful of his own hair, silly boy! He loves his big brother, who is always in his face talking to him.

He is still nursing well, pretty much all day! He will eat every 2-3 hours during the day and usually once or twice during the night. He will also take a bottle of breast milk if mommy isn't around. He is a big spitter upper, but it doesn't seem to phase him. He is co-sleeping like Brady did, but I am hoping to get him in his own bed soon. Since I go back to work at the end of the month, I am going to try and get him on a better schedule.

His two month check up went well and Dr. B said he is growing right on track. He weighed 11 lbs 12 oz and is 23 inches long, both in the 50-75th percentile. His head measured 15 inches, which is in the 25th percentile.  We are moving up to size 2 diapers and he is wearing 3 months clothing and some 6 months.

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent our Thanksgiving with my parents in Georgia and had a great time. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner which I was very thankful to have only prepared the sweet potato casserole. We also did some shopping that evening and early Black Friday. When you have two little ones you have to get creative and accept help from others. Luckily we all got most of what we went for plus more! Next year Finley won't be nursing so things should be a little easier.

I am so thankful for all the many blessings that I have received!
