New Car Seat

After saying for weeks that Brady was outgrowing his infant car seat, I finally broke down and bought him a new convertible car seat. Of course I did my online research and asked some friends but in the end we decided to get the Britax Roundabout 55 in Smokey Pearl. It was listed in the top 2 on consumer reports second only to another more expensive Britax car seat. I had Brady try it out in the house before we installed it in the car and he looked like such a big boy. Today we installed it and took a little shopping trip and Brady seems to really enjoy it. He has more room to move and it is very plush and comfortable.

Hello Fall

My favorite time of the year is finally here......FALL!!! Even though it is still in the 90's here in South Carolina, you can definitely tell it's cooling off because it is not as humid. Football is in full swing and we are enjoying spending all day in front of the TV watching as much football as possible. This upcoming Sunday Joe will get to enjoy watching his games in his new leather recliner. I decided to get out all of Brady's fall and winter clothes and wash them, so as soon as we have a cooler day he can wear some of his cute new clothes.

Welcome Back Football

The Hudson's have been anxiously awaiting the return of football season for the past 7 months. As you can see Brady has his Packers onsie on and is all ready for the game! We are hoping for a Packers and Charger's Superbowl this year. I will be supporting Philip Rivers and of course Joe will be supporting Rodgers and his Packers. Happy Football Season!!!

7 Months!!!

Brady is getting so much better at sitting up on his own. We still don't leave him sitting by himself because he occasionally topples over. We don't have a crawler yet, but he can get on all fours now and rock back and forth. He just can't quite figure out how to go forward. We are looking forward to this step, but we haven't gotten the living room baby-proofed yet, so if he decides to wait a little longer we will be happy.

We are now letting Brady sit in the high chair when we go out to eat. He also gets to enjoy some of his baby food while we are eating. We have started him out on the Gerber stage 2 foods now. The texture is just about the same as stage one but the serving size is larger. There are also a lot more foods and mixtures to choose from now. I have really yet to find something that he doesn't like. He doesn't eat the green vegetables as eagerly as he does the rest, but he will eat them. We also let him sit in the buggy with the cover now when we are out shopping. He enjoys being able to see out and watch everything around him.

We don't have another doctor's appointment until 9 months, but we are fairly certain that he is over the 18 lb mark and probably 30 inches long. We are now the on search for a new car seat because he is very rapidly growing out of his infant carrier. I tell him almost everyday that he is growing too fast for mommy!
