Happy Thanksgiving

We spent our Thanksgiving with my parents in Georgia and had a great time. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner which I was very thankful to have only prepared the sweet potato casserole. We also did some shopping that evening and early Black Friday. When you have two little ones you have to get creative and accept help from others. Luckily we all got most of what we went for plus more! Next year Finley won't be nursing so things should be a little easier.

I am so thankful for all the many blessings that I have received!

Finley's First Bath

I am a little behind on blogging so I am playing catch up. Finley had his first real bath at 5 weeks. Due to the fact he had to have umbilical catheters put in after he was born, it took longer for his cord to completely fall off. He was not a huge fan at first but he is warming up to them.

Burts Pumpkin Farm

Our local farm that we have visited for the past few years was not open this year so we were lucky enough to visit one in Georgia before it closed for the season. Brady loves "punkins" and was super excited to walk around and see them all. Even though this was the last weekend they were open, there were still quite a few left. It was also a great time because the weather was great and it was not crowded at all.

Look Who is Already 1 Month Old!!!

Our sweet Finley is one month old! I can't believe how fast the time is going by! We didn't have a one month check up and we don't go back until 2 months, so I am not sure about his weight. He is growing out of his newborn clothes and now fits comfortably in 3 months. He is still wearing size 1 diapers, we never even used newborns since he was a pretty big boy.

He is sleeping pretty good at night usually only up a time or two to eat. He is nursing every 1.5-3 hours during the day. He loves to eat! He will sit in his bouncer and swing for short periods of time, but he still doesn't love them as much as his big brother did. He does enjoy laying on his boppy pillow some during the day! Since he had to have the umbilical catheters when he was first born he still has a little bit of his cord hanging which looks like it could fall off at anytime. Hopefully it will come off soon so we can start real baths.

Sometimes when I talk to him he will shed a quick little smile, this just melts my heart. He loves to be held and snuggled most of the day! He is getting stronger and is able to hold his head up a little better, but he is still wobbly at times.  He enjoys laying on his tummy or his side and prefers to sleep that way, even though the doctors preferred method is on his back.   Brady just loves his baby brother and is always trying to hug and love on him. This has been hard lately because Brady has had a little cold.  Overall, we are just enjoying having these sweet 2 boys together!

Brady's Fall Preschool Party

On Halloween Brady's preschool class had a little fall party and the parents were invited. I am so happy that I can attend these little events with my big boy! They had a cupcake for their sweet treat and some pretzels as their salty treat. Brady is just like his daddy and saved his sweet treat for last. He also was the last to finish eating which is no surprise to us. He always takes his time eating! After they enjoyed their snack we went out side to the "pumpkin patch" where they each got a small pumpkin.
