Brandy's Baby Shower Luncheon

On Sunday my friend Jennifer and I hosted a baby shower luncheon for our friend Brandy. I use the word hosted very loosely since we decided to have lunch at Carrabba's, that didn't leave very much work for us to do. Jennifer did make a very yummy homemade crushed oreo cake, that was amazing! We reserved a private room at the restaurant, so it was nice and cozy. The food was delicious and the service was great. Since Brandy is having her second girl, she already has the big items but we wanted to shower Baby Emerie with a few necessities. Big Sister, Aniston, was in attendance and she has the cutest personality every. She was not feeling very photogenic, so every time I tried to take her picture she either turned away or crossed her eyes, which just happens to be the cutest thing ever!

20 Week Ultrasound Video

Half Way Home

I had my 20 Week anatomy scan on Monday and we got to see our little guy again. He was a little stubborn this time and the ultrasound tech wasn't able to get the best pictures of him. They are going to go ahead and do another ultrasound at my 24 week visit so they can get the measurement of his nose, that they couldn't get this week. Overall everything looked good and he is still a BOY!!! He is measuring right on track at 20 weeks with an approximate weight of 13 oz. Mommy on the other hand has gained 8 lbs so far, but trust me it looks like much more! I can't believe how fast my belly is growing this time, it is unreal! I started feeling the baby move a little around 16 weeks and by 20 weeks Daddy could feel him too! We are just so excited for Brady to have a little brother!

Today I decided to link up with Kelly's Korner for SUYL Expecting Mother's, since I fit into the category, haha! 

We are expecting baby BOY #2, who is due October 6th!  This makes me 20 weeks!  We are looking forward to our anatomy ultrasound on Monday, so we can check on our little guy!  We decided to find out the gender a little earlier at 17 weeks, but they didn't check his other organs.  I will post back next week with some new pics of our baby boy! 

I am hoping to meet some other expecting mom's with close due dates so we can follow each others pregnancy! :)

Like Father, Like Son

This afternoon Brady spent some time in the backyard with his lawn mower, while his daddy mowed our yard. He was so proud of his lawn mower, that his Grandmother Young got him. He would walk right along with his daddy like he was working too. The funniest part was when Joe would stop to pull up a weed, Brady would stop and do the same exact thing. It was too cute!

We also decided to take our first swim of the season in the neighborhood pool. Since it only got up to about 78 degrees today, the water was quite chilly. I didn't know how Brady would do but he was really excited to be in the water even as he shivered. He just splashed around and wasn't a happy camper when I made him get out after only a few minutes. I think we will do better on a warmer day. Since I took Brady to the pool by myself I don't have any pics to share. I will make sure to get some on our next visit.

A Day at Riverbanks Zoo

Last Saturday my work had a picnic at the Riverbanks Zoo, so we decided it was a good time to take Brady for his first zoo experience.  I would have to say his favorite attraction was the aquarium. He loved watching the shark swim around the tank and he would get so excited each time it would come around. We arrived at 9am before it got too hot and we actually had really decent weather. After lunch when we were ready to come back home it was really starting to heat up.  I can see many more zoo and aquarium visits in our future!
