Brady turned 18 months 10 days ago and this momma is so sad! As I watch him everyday, learning new things, I can't help but think how bittersweet it is. I am so glad he is learning new things, but I am not ready for my baby to be a little boy!
At his checkup last week he weighed 25 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile), was 33 1/2 inches long (75th percentile), and had a head circumference of 20 1/8 inches (99th percentile). As you could see he is growing right along as he should be. He is getting so heavy to carry now and when he decides he wants down it's very hard to hold him while he squirms!
In the last few months he has managed to have 3 of his first year molars come in, so he has a grand total of 11 teeth. He is now able to climb up on the furniture and scoot our kitchen chairs around the floor. He is so lovable and will come hug and kiss you most anytime you ask him. He is even being loving to the dog and trying to hug him as well. He is babbling all the time, but not many new words. I am sure that they will start coming out anytime. He loves to point to his ears, chin, tummy, show that he is 1 year old with his fingers, put his arms up, clap his hands, and give high 5's. He will do them on command and is so happy and proud of himself each and every time.
We finally decided to start Brady in a preschool this fall at one of the local churches. It will be a class of 8 children, in the 1 year old range, and 2 teachers. He is really starting to notice and be interested in other children. Our mall has a little play area that we take him to sometimes and he always goes right up to the other kids and smiles and starts waving to them. I hope this carries over to his preschool class and he meets some new friends to play with. He will be going on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. I guess that is about all for now, but I will leave you with a few recent pics of our sweet boy!
