Easter Bunny

We took Brady to see the Easter bunny on Saturday even though he is too young to know what is going on. He didn't cry but he kept looking around for me.

2 Months

Yesterday our sweet little boy turned 2 months old. He is getting more of a personality now with his sweet little smiles and expressions. He will just sit and look at you and smile when we talk to him. It even seems like he tries to laugh at us sometimes. I can't believe how fast he is growing. I took him to the doctor this morning for his first shots. He was such a good boy, he cried a little after they stuck him but he was calmed down by the time the nurse was putting the bandaids on. He weighed 12 lbs 12 oz and is 23 3/4 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile on both height and weight.

I started back to work last week, which was a bit of a bummer. I get up early and work a few hours before Brady gets up and then I work in the afternoon at 2 until I'm finished. At least I get to spend the day with my boy, without having to put him in daycare. Sometimes it's hard to remember what life was like without him. It's amazing how much you can love someone.

Back to Work

Well my 8 weeks of maternity leave is officially over. I am extremely sad to say the least. This is the longest that I haven't worked since I turned 16, almost 11 years ago. I enjoyed my 8 weeks of laying around the house with my sweet little boy not having to worry about anything else. I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home now for a while, so at least I don't have to leave Brady with anyone during the day. In a perfect world I think I would like to be a stay at home mom for the first five years and then get back to my professional career once he started school. Oh well, I guess there is always the lottery! I am very thankful to have a job during this time and hopefully the transition back into work will be as easy and painless as possible.

Hello Spring Time

We have enjoyed a very sunny and warm 80 degrees today in Columbia. I hope there are a lot more days like this before the scorching hot summer begins. We went the the flea market and walked around earlier this morning and then we took Brady on a nice little walk in the neighborhood to the pond to feed the ducks. I just love this weather!!

5 Weeks

1 Month

One month ago we welcomed our son into the world. I can't believe how fast he is growing. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was being admitted to the hospital, and was anxiously awaiting Brady's arrival. We are officially wearing 3 months sized clothes now. He is starting to smile now (and not the gas smile), especially at his daddy. It hurts me to say but I am afraid that he is going to be a daddy's boy! He is also starting to hold his head up for a few seconds.
