Happy Valentines Day

We had a nice evening at home today for Valentines Day because we went out and ate at Olive Garden yesterday. We also continued our little tradition of roses and chocolate covered strawberries. Joe always buys me a dozen pink roses and I make him chocolate covered strawberries. We took Brady and Hero out on a walk in the neighborhood and fed the ducks in our pond. It was nice to celebrate with both of my Valentines!

Happy 1st Birthday Brady

I can't believe our baby boy is officially a year old. Since we were visiting in NC we decided to have his birthday dinner at El Chapala. They were so nice, they came and sang "Happy Birthday" to him and gave him a sweet treat.

Brady had his 1 year check up this past Monday. I was very surprised that in 3 months he has only gained 13 ounces. He officially weighs 20 lbs 12 oz (20th percentile), is 30.25 inches (64th percentile), with a head circumference of 19 1/8 (96th percentile). The doctor was not at all worried and said that he is still on the same growth curve, and that it would probably pick up after he turns 2. He had to have 3 shots this time, but was such a champ!

He has been doing a lot of teething lately, so hopefully some of the new teeth will come through soon. He still has the 4 with a couple of more coming soon. We are starting to feed him almost everything that we are eating, and only a little bit of baby food. We also introduced cow's milk a few weeks ago and he is enjoying drinking that from a sippy cup. He is only nursing now at night.

He can now wave bye bye, and he is working on showing the number "1" on his fingers, for his age. We are still not walking, but he cruises along the furniture, and can take a couple of steps by himself. He loves to walk behind his green dinosaur. He is also very excited to watch the Green Bay Packers play in the Super Bowl this weekend. Go Packers!
