Myrtle Beach

We just got back from a short vacation to Myrtle Beach. We had a good time despite seeing the wild fire that plagued North Myrtle. Once we got into town the fire didn't affect our vacation. I have to comment on playing Baseball Pinball at the Fun Plaza. This has been a tradition of mine and Joe's since our first trip. I must brag and say that I was the only one who scored 24 runs to get a prize this time around. It's always nice to get away but going back to work afterwards is simply dreadful.

Happy Easter!!!

We had a very restful Easter at home. We rode our bicycles around the neighborhood and grilled some chicken on the grill. Here's a few pictures of Joe riding Hero on his crotch rocket aka huffy bicycle!!

Bowling

We had a pretty productive weekend. We decided to put some mulch around our trees and shrubs because the straw that was there wasn't looking so good. I think the mulch was a big improvement.

Saturday night Joe bowled in a 9 Pin No Tap Tournament and did good with a 256 average. (That is a tournament where 9 pins count as a strike). It was really fun to watch and see how different people bowl. He is working on improving my game and hopefully soon I can start bowling the in the 100's. Haha!

Snow in Columbia

We were told before we moved that if it ever snows in Columbia the town shuts down. I thought they were kidding, but apparently not. Last night around 7:00 pm, way before the first snowflake ever fell from the sky, all the area schools were closed along with the city and county government offices. When we woke up this morning we had only a small dusting and a few flurries. Here are a few pics so you can check it out for yourself.
